It’s All in the Cards

“The most powerful sources of information come from within; the Tarot aids in coming in contact with one’s Higher Self.”

Her name is Michelle Marie.  She read cards for me. It was a very very good reading. She says everything will be good. What am I worrying about? Do I need something to do??!! Ha. Loved her! I want  to go back to look for her again.  She had a peaceful aura about her.  I  cried when I saw this picture  for the first time and I didn’t know why.

Some say it all boils down to your subconscious mind. Arguably, how we perceive things relies heavily on our subconscious, and there are those who believe that with Tarot, the subconscious projects its own interpretations on the Tarot cards. As a person receiving a Tarot reading, your interpretation of the cards is a result of the factors in your life that shape who you are and what you are about. The questions you have about your life (usually the reason for consulting the Tarot in the first place) are projected onto the pictures, so you divine answers from what you see. In this way, the Tarot is useful in helping us to tap into our subconscious to find answers that we might never consciously think of. The Rorschach inkblot test uses a similar principle to look into the subconscious. Whether you believe that Tarot cards hold any power or ability to shed light on your life, your problems or your future might depend on how easily you can open you mind to the idea of it. Many Tarot-card readers have differing ideas about how or why the Tarot works. In fact, some say we only need the Tarot to help us until we learn to get in touch with our “inner guide” on our own.

Just a Dash will do it…

An Intensive Care Unit (ICU), also known as a Critical Care Unit (CCU), Intensive Therapy Unit or Intensive Treatment Unit (ITU) is a special department of a hospital that provides intensive-care medicine.

Intensive Care Units cater to patients with the most serious injuries and illnesses, most of which are life-threatening and need constant, close monitoring and support from specialist equipment and medication in order to maintain normal bodily functions. They are staffed by highly trained doctors and critical care nurses who specialise in caring for the most severely ill patients.

Patients may be transferred to an Intensive Care Unit from a ward if they require constant monitoring, or immediately after surgery if the surgery is invasive or the patient is at risk of complications.

The man they assigned me with, his name was Dash. He was a nurse in the first ICU that I was at.  I loved this guy.  He was really really great and I will never forget his comfort and aid

Dinner is served…

His name is Daron.

The man that brings me my breakfast every day.

He is my hero. I don’t order anything on the menu.

Everything is special and he gets it for me every day,

fruit plate, oatmeal, yogurt. I love this guy.

More people need to have customer service like him.

He’s Got My Back

Look at my baby on the left…my one true love. This is Ross with me in Miami the first weekend that I was there in ICU. Every time he walks in the room, he compliments how pretty I look that day. He is my rock and is truly my backbone; he looks out for me and pampers me every day. We are best friends. Our love is a permanent lock.

This experience has shed a whole new light on our relationship. I wouldn’t want anyone else other than Ross in my corner. Thank you Ross for being so positive and giving me one more reason to get through this.

Sparkle and Shine

This is Dionne Sparks. She was the secretary for the ICU. What a beautiful and wonderful person. Dionne would randomly come into my room and place her hands on chest and start praying for me.  Dionne brought me up and gave me hope when I was scared and depressed. We talked and laughed a lot. She told me she’s looking for a man. I hope she finds one that treats her as kind and loving as she treats other people.

“People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.”

My Drug of Choice… Me and Babo

That’s Ross on my left. He was the only drug that could calm me. Due to my intense emotional state, the nurses allowed Ross to stay the night with me in ICU. He laid next to me in a small chair that folded flat and told me in the most assuring tone that everything was going to be alright. He massaged my lifeless and numb arms and fingers all night until I could fall back asleep.

Let me introduce you to Babo… Babo was the doll that Kim got me. Kim Marchetta is my partner in crime; we call her Florence Nightingale because she has come to my aid and been by my side every step of the way. I sleep with Babo. He protects me. All the nurses love him. When they make my bed, they make sure he’s in the middle right on the pillow.

“Babo will protect you. Having a bad day? Someone giving you a hard time? Babo’s got your back. What Babo lacks in mind power, he makes up for in love. He’s everybody’s best friend. He will stick with you to the end and when something scary happens, he will send you a nice greeting card from wherever it is he runs away to. A very curious, mischievous creature, Babo may need some guidance and parenting, so make sure to bring him with you to as many places as possible. Leaving him at home is fine, but please put all cookies and money on the highest shelf.”

Tibetan Buddhist Monks and Lama’s Praying for You

Hi Mary,

How are you today?

I am Marci’s old, childhood friend who helped set up the Tibetan Buddhist monks and Lama’s to pray for you. I thought it might inspire you to hear a bit about them since they continue to pray for you everyday.

As soon as Marci told me about you and urged me to request prayers I  immediately called my boyfriend David, who was in Hong Kong at the time, traveling with his teacher, a very highly revered 85 year old Tibetan Buddhist master, we call Rinpoche (precious one), who was on his way to Tibet and resting for a week in between traveling.  Rinpoche is so sought after for his amazing spiritual power that he often has to go into retreat and restore his energy. When he is in his monastery in Tibet there are lines of hundreds and hundreds of people a day to see him.  So this time was one of the hard to see times, as Rinpoche was resting, so I felt extremely lucky that David was with him.  His prayers are so uniquely amazing that it is always worth every ounce of effort to contact him.

Rinpoche is very renowned  amongst serious Buddhists for being an authentically enlightened master.  One of the last of the great one’s who were born and trained in Tibet before the Chinese occupation. I urged David to find a way to get a message to Rinpoche with a request to please pray for you. David was not sure he would be able to ask, but he said he would try his best.

Within a few hours he called me and said he was able to see Rinpoche in person and give him the message directly. He said Rinpoche, who is usually poker faced, smiled warmly when he heard your name and David was surprised because he thought that your situation was very dire and not something to smile about. Later David reflected and said that Rinpoche probably saw that you would improve, (slowly but surely) and felt  confidence in your ability to heal. David also asked Rinpoche to recommend additional prayers that the monks in his monastery could do. So Rinpoche recommended Medicine Buddha prayers for you. So Marci and I arranged for many monks to pray along with Rinpoche for your healing.

Then I also contacted Lama Tharchin, a very dear Lama who is lives in CA, speaks English, and also knows Marci. Lama Tharchin prayed for Marci’s step father, Bob when he was in the hospital in a  coma.  We have had a lot of great healing experiences with Lama Tharchin. I requested to light several hundred “butter lamps” (like candles) at a great shrine at Lama Tharchin’s temple. All these butter lamps were dedicated to your best health and recovery and spiritual enlightenment. Also a group of Lama Tharchin’s students who are in retreat along with Lama  Tharchin all started praying for you every day.

I got an email from Lama Tharchin last week asking about you. He is sure to keep in touch about you for a long time. When ever he makes a connection to pray for someone, he takes such good care to keep in touch and see how they are mending. So please know you have a big, loving support system at least  in CA, Tibet and  NY, and probably many other places as well. I keep you in my prayers and I hope you let all this healing light into your entire body and mind and slowly learn to mediate and heal with the infinite blessings that surround you.

Also if you want to go to a website connected to Lama Tharchin,  http://www.vajrayana.org/. And here are some very helpful audio books to learn how to meditate, by  another really great teacher, Tulku Thondup Rinpoche: Boundless Healing- http://www.tulkuthondup.com/cd_boundless_healing_guided_practice.htm or Healing Power of Loving Kindness- this is a book that comes with an audio CD: http://www.amazon.com/Healing-Power-Loving-Kindness-Book-Audio-CD/dp/1590306678

Sorry for the long email, but I hope this makes you happy. Please keep in touch, I am rooting for you with all my heart. Get well soon.

All the best healing wishes,

Susie (Susanna)  Green
